This large country home had created a lot of issues for the current owner. The old barn board was cracked and poorly installed and the walls were poorly insulated, rodents and bugs were wreaking havoc in the walls and the roof was starting to leak in places. JDC was hired to replace the roofing and strip the exterior walls from the outside in, to the drywall and then re-build the exterior envelope using modern building techniques, new siding and aluminum and we even added some cultured stone to the lower part of the walls and chimney. Spray-foam was used in the walls and attics to seal up the envelope, exterior lighting and the security system was updated at the same time. Part way through the project, the client requested that JDC finish the basement while we were there as well as some renovations on the main floor, where they wanted to re-enforce a bouncy floor and rebuild a bar-area.
